Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview

Reveal Technology is hiring a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join its Human Systems team. The role primarily focuses on Android testing and mobile quality, while also contributing to testing for cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing across the product suite, with primary focus on Android and cloud-based systems
• Create and maintain test cases; contribute to test planning based on feature scope and risk
• Contribute to and expand test automation, using Espresso, with a transition toward a framework supporting Jetpack Compose
• Collaborate with engineers, product, and cross-functional teams to:
  • communicate issues
  • validate fixes
  • align on testing timelines
• Adapt quickly to new product initiatives and own testing efforts in evolving areas
• Validate functionality, performance, and user experience across Android and cloud environments

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience building/testing/shipping complex software
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience
• Strong ability to balance manual exploratory testing with automation
• Experience with at least one mobile automation framework (Espresso preferred; Appium acceptable)
• Ability to document, reproduce, and troubleshoot issues with clear, actionable detail
• Analytical/problem-solving mindset
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., Qase, TestRail, or similar)
• Familiarity with command line environments (Linux/macOS/Windows)
• Comfortable working independently and prioritizing tasks in a remote environment
• Ability to test Android and cloud-based systems with minimal day-to-day oversight

• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and testing strategies for Compose UIs
• Experience with Playwright or other web automation for cloud systems
• Experience testing client-server/API-driven applications

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $50,000–$80,000 + equity (final salary depends on experience/skills and internal equity)
