Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview

Reveal Technology is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer who prevents issues before customers do. You will own the quality of every release by combining strong manual testing with automation to ensure builds are production-ready.

Responsibilities

• Act as the last line of defense before release: verify fixes, run regressions, and approve builds for merge to master.
• Maintain and expand the manual test suite.
• Write and maintain automated tests in the TypeScript/Playwright framework for Unity and web applications.
• Test complex geospatial and 3D experiences requiring spatial reasoning (e.g., camera movement, drawn geometry, multi-angle building structures).
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to developers.
• Test features holistically end-to-end, understanding how tooling and product parts work together.
• Use AI tools to accelerate test case authoring, automation, and bug investigation.

Requirements

• 2–5 years testing and shipping complex software; analytical mindset and obsessive attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong manual testing experience plus hands-on automated testing.
• Fluency using AI tools as part of daily work.
• Comfortable reading/reasoning about object-oriented code (e.g., C#, TypeScript).
• Comfortable using the terminal and filesystem (run commands, shell into devices).
• Experience testing across multiple platforms and devices.
• Experience with test management software (Qase).
• Ability to work independently: plan, prioritize, and deliver in a remote environment with proactive communication.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Playwright (or similar TypeScript automation frameworks).
• Familiarity with GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, and Android tooling (Android Studio / adb).
• Experience with C# (preferred) or Java.
• Experience with Unity (or another 3D rendering engine).

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $60,000–$80,000 + equity (based on experience and internal equity).
