Quality Assurance Engineer (PL)

Role Overview

Chooose is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join the product and engineering team. You will uphold and enhance quality standards across the product suite by planning and executing testing activities and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze requirements and designs to identify gaps and issues
• Plan and execute testing activities:
  • Create checklists
  • Configure the test environment
  • Perform manual UI and API testing
  • Own and report bugs and submit quality reports
  • Communicate quality status to teams and stakeholders
• Proactively investigate issues reported by customers/teams and implement preventative measures
• Prioritize tasks, make impactful decisions, and provide direction to engineering teams
• Collaborate with Engineering, QAs, and Product Management to deliver updates on time
• Support go-live activities with the Implementation team
• Improve and maintain technical documentation
• Share knowledge about the system with internal teams and stakeholders

Requirements

• 3–5 years of QA experience (preferably at a software product company)
• Strong proficiency in API and UI testing and testing principles/best practices
• Understanding of SDLC in an Agile environment
• Experience testing applications backed by NoSQL databases and ability to navigate non-relational data
• Ability to deep dive into complex problems and identify root causes; experience with command line interfaces and/or scripting/programming is a plus
• Excellent communicator and cross-functional collaborator (technical concepts to non-technical audiences)
• Detail-oriented, proactive self-starter

Nice-to-haves

• Background in climate/sustainability tech or travel/hospitality/airline industries
• Experience building scalable aggregations and queries for actionable insights
