Quality Assurance Engineer

You will help ensure software quality by finding defects and regressions and by designing, implementing, and executing test cases and/or automated test scripts.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedback
• Create testing plans and test scenarios aligned to functional requirements and technical specifications
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities with a cross-functional development team
• Design, develop, and execute test cases and/or automation scripts using provided tools
• Identify, record, document, and track bugs; maintain accurate bug backlogs
• Perform regular regression, exploratory, and system testing
• Verify fixes and support successful releases through planned test activities
• Improve processes, training, and tools by making recommendations to management
• Use AI-enabled tools and analytics where appropriate, following ethical standards (accuracy, data privacy, human-in-the-loop oversight)

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience
• Strong diagnostic skills to test software and measure product quality
• Technical background to create test scenarios from functional requirements and detailed specifications

Preferred / Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and writing SQL queries
• QA testing experience for ERP-type applications/systems
• Knowledge of administrative software for higher education
• Experience with automated testing tools
• Proficiency with at least one programming or scripting language

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $66,000–$79,000/year (base pay may vary by experience, skills, and location)
• Eligible for an annual bonus
