About the role

Role Overview

Join Clair as a Quality Assurance Engineer to test and improve a next-generation On-Demand Pay embedded service.

Key Missions / Responsibilities

Participate actively in manual testing efforts each sprint and contribute to test automation.
Document new findings, bugs, and edge cases across user workflows.
Collaborate with multiple teams to gather and confirm requirements, functional design, and internal design specifications.
Execute end-to-end testing of the application.
Assist the support team with issue investigation.
Attend daily standups with the product development team.

Requirements

Comfortable working in Agile technical teams.
Experience testing mobile and web applications.
Understanding of API design principles and platform scalability.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
2+ years of QA/testing experience (including mobile apps).
Knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, procedures, and testing techniques.
Programming familiarity and ability to work with OOP concepts (e.g., PHP, JavaScript, etc.).
SQL fundamentals; experience with PostgreSQL and some awareness of Snowflake.

Automation & Tooling

Test/automation tooling experience with:
- Selenium
- Postman
- BrowserStack
- Cypress
- Xcode and Android Studio
- Appium Studio (preferred)
Ability to convert manual test cases into automated test suites.

Nice to Have

Startup environment experience or exposure to development can substitute for some testing background.
Experience with financial systems and the industry domain.
CI/CD experience (e.g., Jenkins) and testing syntax/tools (e.g., Cucumber, Gherkin).

Tech/Languages Mentioned

PHP/Laravel, JavaScript, SQL (plus OOP experience in related languages).
