About the role

Quality Assurance Engineer (OPT – Remote, USA)

BrothersTech is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer (OPT candidates welcome) to support software testing and quality delivery.

Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and maintain test cases and test plans
Perform manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications
Identify, document, and track bugs using Jira (or similar tooling)
Collaborate with developers and product teams to resolve defects and improve quality
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
Conduct regression, functional, and integration testing
Help build test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress)
Ensure releases meet performance, usability, and security standards

Required Skills / Qualifications

Basic knowledge of Software Testing & QA methodologies
Familiarity with Selenium / Cypress
Jira (or any bug tracking tool)
SQL for database validation
Understanding of SDLC
Programming knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript
Strong analytical/problem-solving and communication skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science/IT or related field
0–2 years experience (freshers welcome)
Open to OPT/CPT candidates in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

Internship or project experience in QA/testing
Exposure to API testing (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured)
Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
