Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Blockstream, you will help ensure the stability and performance of Bitcoin and blockchain-based applications. You’ll partner with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to find issues early, improve testability of new features, and automate testing workflows.

Key Missions

• Design, implement, and execute test strategies to ensure stability and performance of Bitcoin/blockchain applications.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for blockchain applications and APIs.
• Maintain and extend automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing, including regression testing.
• Conduct security testing (including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments).
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers on feature reviews and ensure new features are testable.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of Bitcoin and blockchain technology.
• Proficiency with automation testing frameworks.
• Experience with API testing tools.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of security testing methodologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
• Experience with scripting languages.

• Experience in fintech, blockchain, or security-focused industries.
• Experience with performance testing tools.
