Quality Assurance Engineer (QA)

Work on AssetWatch’s cloud application and help the team scale predictive maintenance capabilities.

What You’ll Do

• Perform thorough manual testing of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across web and mobile apps.
• Create and run test plans, test cases, and exploratory testing; execute regression testing using both manual and automated approaches.
• Build and maintain automated end-to-end test suites using TypeScript and Playwright, converting manual cases into reliable automation and expanding coverage.
• Use AI-assisted/agentic coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) to accelerate test authoring, maintenance, and debugging; generate/refine Playwright tests and triage failures.
• Develop agentic testing workflows (prompts/AI agents) to auto-generate test scaffolding, self-heal flaky selectors, and summarize results—while validating AI output with sound engineering judgment.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) for fast feedback on every build.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira and Zephyr (or similar tools).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, surface risks, and ensure timely, comprehensive test coverage.
• Continuously improve QA processes and documentation; report progress, risks, and quality metrics.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years QA experience including both manual testing and test automation for web and mobile.
• Strong experience with TypeScript + Playwright for end-to-end automation, including browser interactions, locators, synchronization, and exception handling.
• Experience extending automation frameworks and running automated tests in CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/Jenkins).
• Practical experience using AI-assisted/agentic tools (Copilot/Claude/Cursor) to write, maintain, and debug code/tests, with the judgment to review and validate AI-generated output.
• API testing experience (Postman, RestAssured, or similar) and backend/database testing.
• Solid SQL knowledge for backend testing.
• Familiarity with React (web application).

Nice to Have / Additional signals

• Experience with test management tools like Zephyr (or similar).
• Prior work leveraging agentic approaches such as self-healing selectors and automated test result summarization.
