Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Role Overview

Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (Remote). You will design and implement testing strategies and automation frameworks to ensure complex software systems meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive test plans and testability/architecture strategies for complex software systems.
• Build and maintain robust automated test frameworks and suites for:
  • Web applications
  • APIs
  • Mobile platforms
• Integrate automated tests directly into CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute manual and exploratory testing for complex features and edge cases.
• Maintain an automated regression suite to validate bug fixes across browsers, devices, and operating systems.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of professional QA experience, with a track record building and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Hands-on automation experience with one or more of:
  • Playwright, Cypress, Selenium (or similar)
• Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript, including unit and integration testing.
• Advanced API testing and schema validation (OpenAPI/Swagger) to ensure contract reliability and data integrity.
• Experience testing across multiple architectures in the AWS ecosystem.
• Experience validating SQS and SNS integrations with Lambda functions.
• Strong code management and deployment workflow experience:
  • GitHub
  • CI/CD via GitHub Actions and Jenkins
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL data validation.
• Familiarity with Docker (containerization).
• Experience with performance and scalability testing using JMeter, K6, or similar.
