About the role

Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Join the development team to ensure high-quality software delivery across enterprise applications. You will focus on building and maintaining automated tests, while also performing manual testing where automation coverage is still maturing.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate frameworks and tools.
Execute and maintain automated regression/integration coverage aligned with Agile/Scrum practices.
Perform manual testing for components/platforms not yet covered by automation.
Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand application requirements and architecture, ensuring complete test coverage.
Conduct backend testing for systems built with .NET Core, Web API, and Service Workers.
Run API testing including data-driven/permutation testing and validate data consistency across integrations.
Use SQL for backend validation.
Incorporate SOAP/XML and event-driven architecture scenarios in test cases to ensure data integrity.
Report/document test results, troubleshoot issues with the team, verify fixes, and perform retesting.
Contribute to continuous QA improvement, including enhancing automation frameworks and test documentation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years of experience in QA automation with hands-on manual testing.
Strong backend testing knowledge including .NET Core, Web API, and SQL Server.
Experience with automation frameworks/tools: Selenium, Swagger, SoapUI, Postman.
Proficiency in SQL for data validation.
Familiarity with SOAP, XML, and event-driven architecture.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum and working in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

Experience with cross-functional coordination and prioritization.
Knowledge of deployment pipelines, multi-environment release cycles, and CI/CD.
Ability to manage scope creep, mitigate risks, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Familiarity with ELK logging and Apache Kafka.
