Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Role Overview

Quality Engineer (Test Automation) — Full-Time, fully remote in the United States. You will design, develop, and maintain automated tests across APIs, web applications, mobile applications, and performance/load-testing scenarios, while improving QA processes and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for APIs, web, mobile, and performance testing.
• Build reusable test utilities, fixtures, and frameworks to:
  • improve reliability
  • reduce maintenance effort
  • minimize test flakiness
  • support consistent test data
• Develop mobile test automation (simulator/emulator execution, authentication flows, API mocking, YAML-based test definitions, and mobile CI/CD integration).
• Apply AI-assisted QA tooling/agents to support test review, debugging, documentation, automation maintenance, and workflow improvements.
• Support scalable cloud-based load testing using GCP, Kubernetes, and related infrastructure practices.
• Analyze requirements, test results, defects, logs/traces, and performance metrics to identify risks, root causes, impact, and quality improvement opportunities.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (reporting, parallel execution, environment management, failure analysis).
• Establish QA best practices, coding standards, documentation, and troubleshooting guidance.
• Review test automation pull requests and provide actionable feedback.
• Mentor junior QA analysts and collaborate with development, product, and operations teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in modern test automation and QA.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Playwright
  • TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • API testing and web test automation
  • Mobile test automation
  • Performance/load testing
  • CI/CD integration
  • GCP, Kubernetes, Docker
  • AI-assisted QA enablement
