Quality Assurance Application Tester

Role Overview

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Application Tester, you ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web-based, desktop, and enterprise applications using both manual and automated testing. You work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to validate requirements, catch defects early, and support continuous delivery through test automation and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to create test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing across web, desktop, and enterprise apps
• Perform manual testing for desktop workflows and scenarios where automation isn’t feasible
• Validate user interfaces, business logic, and backend data
• Build and maintain automated test scripts and select test cases suitable for automation
• Run automated test suites via CI/CD pipelines and scheduled runs
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects; collaborate with developers to verify root-cause analysis and fixes
• Support release and post-deployment validation
• Create and maintain test data and manage test environments across DEV, QA, and UAT
• Monitor pipeline results and troubleshoot automation/environment failures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems (or equivalent experience)
• 3–6 years of QA/testing experience
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Experience testing web, mobile, and desktop applications
• API testing experience (REST services, KeyRunner)
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Object-oriented programming concepts; hands-on experience with C# (or comparable languages)
• Hands-on manual and automated testing and defect tracking tools
• Experience designing/developing/executing automated test scripts for web apps
• Knowledge of automation design patterns including Page Object Model (POM)
• Ability to create reliable locators (e.g., dynamic XPath/CSS selectors) for maintainable automation
• Data validation skills and ability to write/execute basic-to-intermediate SQL queries

• Healthcare/insurance/enterprise systems experience
• Experience testing Salesforce/CRM applications
• CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins
• Cloud fundamentals (Microsoft Azure)
• Familiarity with AI concepts, LLMs, and how AI tools can support testing
