Quality Assurance Analyst

Role Overview

Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst/Engineer supporting a federal client on a confidential initiative. This is a remote contract requiring East Coast time zone hours and collaboration with developers and DevOps engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for full stack web applications
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps engineers to ensure software quality across the SDLC
• Perform manual and/or automated testing as appropriate
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, reviews)
• Communicate effectively with teammates working East Coast hours

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required (no exceptions)
• Strong QA experience testing web-based applications (front-end and back-end)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Availability for East Coast time zone hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Active or prior U.S. government security clearance
• Experience on U.S. government/federal contracts
• Experience testing applications built on Angular, PHP, and/or Java
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development/testing tools (particularly Claude)
• Experience working in larger teams (20+ members)

Contract Details & Compensation

• Remote contract with an initial 6-month term, potential extension
• Rate: $55–$62 per hour
