About the role

Role Overview

Part-time remote QA Tester / Quality Assurance Analyst Engineer responsible for validating the quality and stability of software solutions used by GE — Régulation du travail et du commerce (OCIRT).

Responsibilities

Review requirements and clarify expected behavior.
Design, execute, and maintain test cases.
Perform manual testing on new features and regression suites.
Validate functional, integration, and regression scenarios.
Track defects through their full lifecycle and support timely resolution with developers and analysts.
Document test results, risks, and progress clearly and structurally.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners during virtual meetings.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation.

Requirements

Strong QA foundation with demonstrated knowledge of QA methodologies and best practices.
Proven experience designing and maintaining test cases.
Hands-on manual testing and test execution experience.
Analytical skills to interpret requirements, identify edge cases, detect defects, and assess risk/impact.
Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools; ability to write clear issue/test documentation.
Understanding of SDLC and ability to collaborate in cross-functional remote teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a part-time remote role.

Nice to Have

ISTQB (or similar) certification.
Relevant education in software testing, computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
