About the role

QA/Test Engineer (ServiceNow)

Join the IT team to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of ServiceNow platform solutions. This newly created role centralizes and elevates testing efforts across the organization and offers growth in a dynamic ServiceNow ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement test plans and test cases for ServiceNow features, enhancements, and fixes (functional and performance requirements).
  • Perform manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, integration, and UAT where applicable.
  • Use ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) and other tools to execute and maintain automated tests.
  • Identify, document, and track defects; partner with developers to analyze root causes and validate fixes.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to review requirements, assess testability, and ensure quality checkpoints.
  • Build and maintain automated test scripts and integrate them into deployment pipelines to support continuous delivery.
  • Monitor testing progress and quality metrics; communicate risks, findings, and status to stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) aligned to sprint goals and release schedules.
  • Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on software testing/QA experience.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Information Systems (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow development, including Glide scripting and configuration.
  • Experience with ServiceNow ATF and automated test scripting.
  • Strong QA methodology knowledge: functional, regression, UAT, and performance testing.
  • Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams; familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; effective in a remote, cross-functional environment.

Nice to Have

  • ServiceNow certifications (CSA preferred; Implementation Specialist / Application Developer advantageous).
  • ISTQB Certified Tester or other QA certifications.
