About the role
QA Test Engineer (Remote)
You will join the remote Engineering Department full-time to help ensure software quality and performance before releases to customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Perform manual testing to identify bugs and verify functionality
- Implement automated testing where applicable to improve efficiency
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools
- Collaborate with developers and product managers on requirements and acceptance criteria
- Conduct regression, functional, usability, and performance testing
- Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved prior to release
- Participate in sprint planning and agile development processes
- Provide feedback to improve product usability and overall quality
- Maintain comprehensive testing documentation and reporting
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in software testing or QA
- Strong understanding of QA processes and software testing methodologies
- Experience with Jira or Bugzilla
- Familiarity with TestRail or Zephyr
- Basic knowledge of SQL and databases for data validation
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with both manual and automated testing approaches (implied by role responsibilities)
