About the role
QA / Test Engineer
Location: United States (Fully Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time Level: Mid-Level (2–5 years)
Role Overview
As a QA / Test Engineer, you’ll ensure products meet high standards of performance, reliability, and usability. You’ll design and execute testing strategies, track and resolve defects with engineering teams, and help improve product stability across web and mobile.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test plans
- Perform manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications
- Identify, document, and track software defects
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues
- Build and maintain automated test suites
- Run regression, integration, and functional testing
- Participate in requirement reviews and sprint planning
- Improve overall QA processes and expand test coverage
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in QA, software testing, or test automation
- Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies
- Automation experience with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Basic scripting/programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Nice to Have
- CI/CD experience and automation integration
- Performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments
- Mobile testing (iOS/Android)
- Experience in SaaS or high-scale product environments
