About the role

Role overview

QA Test Engineer (Ruby/Python) working full-remote. You will perform both manual and automated testing using a local Docker setup and Mac workstations, with opportunities to specialize in Load, Performance, and Security testing.

Responsibilities

Perform manual and automated testing, including UI testing with automation frameworks (e.g., Ruby and Cypress).
Collaborate with development teams to test early in the lifecycle of user stories and provide feedback during Scrum ceremonies.
Manage your own workload and test approach, ensuring:
- thorough manual testing
- appropriate automated checks.
Write clear, concise bug reports that allow issues to be easily reproduced.

Requirements

Experience with manual and automated API and front-end testing.
Ability to produce accurate bug reports with reproduction steps.
Basic SQL knowledge.
Demonstrated knowledge of a programming language.
Assertive communication and active contributions in planning/team meetings.
Experience with Ruby development.
Experience using Git (source control).
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Familiarity with MacOS and basic Linux/Unix command line usage.
Experience with Cypress.
Familiarity with Docker.

Nice-to-haves

Interest or experience in Load/Performance and Security testing.
