About the role
QA / Test Engineer (Remote - United States)
Role type: Full-time | Level: Entry-Level / Junior
In this role, you’ll help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of products by partnering with engineering, product, and design teams across the development lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
- Design, execute, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scenarios
- Perform manual testing and support automated testing initiatives
- Identify, document, reproduce, and track software bugs and issues
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure product quality
- Validate bug fixes and verify new features before release
- Help develop and maintain automated test scripts
- Participate in requirements and design reviews from a QA perspective
- Run functional, regression, usability, and cross-browser testing
- Maintain detailed QA documentation of testing activities and results
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 0–2 years of experience in QA/software testing (including internships/technical projects)
- Basic understanding of software testing methodologies and QA lifecycle concepts
- Familiarity with testing tools such as:
- Selenium, Cypress, Postman, Playwright, or similar
- Understanding of web and/or mobile application testing
- Basic programming/scripting knowledge (JavaScript, Python, or similar) is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must be based in the United States and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Fluent English communication
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum environments
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Linear
- Interest in test automation and CI/CD workflows
- Experience with API testing or performance testing tools
- Any personal/academic/open-source software projects
