About the role

QA / Test Engineer (Remote - United States)

Role type: Full-time | Level: Entry-Level / Junior

In this role, you’ll help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of products by partnering with engineering, product, and design teams across the development lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, execute, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scenarios
  • Perform manual testing and support automated testing initiatives
  • Identify, document, reproduce, and track software bugs and issues
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure product quality
  • Validate bug fixes and verify new features before release
  • Help develop and maintain automated test scripts
  • Participate in requirements and design reviews from a QA perspective
  • Run functional, regression, usability, and cross-browser testing
  • Maintain detailed QA documentation of testing activities and results
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 0–2 years of experience in QA/software testing (including internships/technical projects)
  • Basic understanding of software testing methodologies and QA lifecycle concepts
  • Familiarity with testing tools such as:
    • Selenium, Cypress, Postman, Playwright, or similar
  • Understanding of web and/or mobile application testing
  • Basic programming/scripting knowledge (JavaScript, Python, or similar) is a plus
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be based in the United States and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Fluent English communication

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum environments
  • Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Linear
  • Interest in test automation and CI/CD workflows
  • Experience with API testing or performance testing tools
  • Any personal/academic/open-source software projects
