About the role
QA / Test Engineer (Fully Remote)
Careerswift is hiring a detail-oriented QA / Test Engineer to ensure products ship with quality and behave as intended.
Responsibilities
- Write, execute, and maintain test cases for new features and existing functionality
- Perform exploratory testing, regression testing, and smoke testing across release cycles
- Build and maintain automated test scripts using one or more of: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright
- Report bugs clearly, including:
- steps to reproduce
- expected vs. actual behavior
- priority level
- Collaborate with product and engineering to understand requirements and surface issues early
- Continuously improve the QA process as the team grows
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in QA or software testing
- Strong foundation in manual testing and test case design
- Hands-on experience with at least one automation framework: Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Ability to write bug reports that developers can act on
- Strong instinct for edge cases
Nice to have
- Experience testing SaaS or HR tech products
Compensation
- $34–$42/hour

- Fully remote (US-wide)
