QA Engineer

Role overview

You’ll join Doctronic as a QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and safety of an AI-powered healthcare platform. Your work will directly impact patient safety by validating complex user workflows and AI diagnostic outputs.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end testing for web and mobile applications (including onboarding flows and telehealth visits)
• Develop and maintain automated test suites to support rapid releases
• Test AI diagnostic outputs for accuracy, consistency, and edge cases across medical conditions
• Validate integrations with third-party systems (scheduling tools, video platforms, APIs)
• Create test plans for new features and collaborate with product and engineering teams
• Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution
• Build and enhance testing frameworks and processes to enable fast deployment without sacrificing quality
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and security standards (e.g., SOC 2)
• Monitor production systems and analyze user reports to proactively resolve issues
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize QA strategy

Requirements

• 3+ years of QA engineering experience
• Strong understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies
• Proficiency with testing tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright (or similar)
• Ability to test APIs and backend systems alongside user interfaces
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Critical thinking for edge cases and failure modes

Nice to have

• Healthcare/regulated industry testing experience
• Knowledge of AI/ML model testing and validation
• Experience with video communication platforms or real-time systems
• Background in security testing and compliance validation
• Mobile testing experience for iOS and Android
• Experience building QA processes in startup environments
• Performance and load testing experience
