About the role

Role Overview

Join Obie as a QA Engineer / Senior QA Engineer (full remote). You will document, deploy, and monitor business and application test cases, collaborate cross-functionally, and help drive QA strategy and software quality improvements.

Key Missions / Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document, deploy, and monitor business and application test cases
Develop and execute testing strategies, and present findings to leadership
Thoroughly test software to ensure correct operation and freedom from defects
Maintain documentation of test cases and results
Review and help design test cases, strategies, and test plans across multiple releases
Integrate and automate testing to support fast feedback loops and continuous quality
Expand test coverage including accessibility, cross-browser/platform, performance, and security

Requirements

4+ years experience developing, executing, and monitoring application and business test cases
Proven cross-functional collaboration and communication with both business and technical stakeholders
Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce, Policy Administration System (PAS), Google Workspace, and Jira
Experience integrating automated tests into GitHub Actions (or similar CI/CD pipelines)
Strong analytical skills with web technologies and API testing beyond basic UI validation
Ability to prioritize, manage time, and operate with strong attention to detail
Experience in P&C insurance or insurtech (preferred)
Strong ability to design test strategies based on decomposed technical and user requirements
Technical communication excellence and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Advanced test automation using Playwright with TypeScript for resilient, cross-browser, API-driven automation
Experience with Java and Python, plus tools such as Postman and Percy
Accessibility testing, cross-browser/platform testing, performance and security testing experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
Ability to leverage AI/LLM prompt engineering for faster test case generation, self-healing scripts, and predictive risk analysis
