QA Engineer (MIS) (Remote)

Role Overview

QA Engineer (MIS) (Remote) supporting MIS teams at KnowBe4. You will ensure high-quality delivery across SaaS and hosted platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday) as well as internally developed applications, including specialized testing for AI systems and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Responsibilities

Test Strategy and Planning

• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for MIS systems and projects
• Create detailed test plans and test cases for new features, enhancements, and integrations
• Maintain QA best practices and standards across all platforms
• Quickly learn new systems, platforms, and business processes
• Review requirements documentation to understand system functionality

Test Execution

• Perform thorough manual testing across MIS applications
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
• Perform specialized testing for AI systems/LLMs (evaluate accuracy, consistency, and alignment to business requirements)
• Run performance and load testing when necessary

Automated Testing

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts
• Identify and implement automation opportunities for repetitive scenarios
• Improve automation coverage and efficiency over time

Defect Management

• Identify, document, and track defects
• Provide clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence
• Collaborate with developers to resolve issues
• Conduct root cause analysis on critical bugs

Cross-Platform Testing

• Validate integrations between systems for data consistency and correct data flow
• Test end-to-end business processes spanning multiple systems
• Deliver meaningful QA feedback by learning business workflows

Reporting and Documentation

• Produce test reports and quality metrics for stakeholders
• Maintain up-to-date test documentation (test cases and procedures)
• Communicate results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

• Work with developers, business analysts, and product owners across the SDLC
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
• Stay current on QA methodologies/tools and propose process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
