About the role

Role Overview

BackOps AI is seeking a Manual QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of its AI-driven supply chain products. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and Design to create and execute testing strategies, focusing on manual testing and validating new features prior to release.

Responsibilities

Analyze product requirements and produce clear, detailed test cases and test plans
Validate new features and assess readiness for production deployment
Execute testing types including functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing
Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely verification of fixes
Support release sign-off with comprehensive testing results and quality assessments
Improve QA methodologies, testing standards, and best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand feature and testing needs
Maintain test documentation and ensure test coverage aligns with project requirements

Requirements

3+ years of hands-on manual software testing experience
Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and QA best practices
SQL knowledge for data validation and analysis
Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing
Basic understanding of CI tools and modern software development practices
Experience with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray
Familiarity with bug tracking systems such as Jira, Trello, Asana, or Bugzilla
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Proactive approach to identifying risks and improving product quality
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent practical experience
