About the role
Role Overview
QA Engineer to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of innovative fintech products for complex payment ecosystems. You’ll work in cross-functional, remote-first product teams and own testing activities across the SDLC.
Responsibilities
- Own QA activities across the full development lifecycle within cross-functional teams
- Design, execute, and maintain testing strategies for:
- Functional, UI, API, integration, regression, and exploratory testing
- Perform thorough web application testing across multiple browsers, devices, and screen sizes
- Validate REST API endpoints, including:
- Authentication flows, payload validation, error handling, and third-party integrations
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design to set quality expectations early (shift-left)
- Create reusable test cases, detailed defect reports, and comprehensive QA documentation
- Review and improve test coverage, regression processes, QA documentation, and overall QA methodologies
- Improve QA tools, workflows, and best practices and promote a culture of quality
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in manual and semi-automated testing of web applications
- 2+ years hands-on API testing experience (authentication, payload validation, error handling)
- Experience testing payment platforms/financial applications/transactional workflows or similar business-critical systems
- Strong knowledge of tools such as:
- Postman, Swagger, Chrome DevTools, SQL, TestRail or Xray
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, frontend-backend interactions, session management, data validation, and app architecture
- Experience with responsive UI testing across browsers/OS/devices
- Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile (Scrum and Kanban)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to work independently and communicate clearly in distributed teams
