Role overview
QA Engineer (Quality Engineering)
- Focus on testing frontend dApps and building a UI automation testing suite to ensure reliable user experiences across Web3 products.
- Work with engineering, product, and DevOps to validate web applications, mobile experiences, blockchain integrations, APIs, trading systems, and internal tooling.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual, exploratory, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across multiple products and systems.
- Design, build, and maintain a UI automation test suite and quality tooling using TypeScript and Playwright.
- Integrate and test wallet extensions such as MetaMask and Keplr within the test suite.
- Validate functionality across web apps, APIs, backend services, blockchain infrastructure, and protocol-level features.
- Investigate issues across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and distributed systems.
- Analyze logs, metrics, network traffic, and system behavior to identify root causes and quality risks.
- Contribute to release validation, test strategy, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement.
- Use AI-powered tools/workflows to improve testing and investigation productivity.
- Support production investigations, incident analysis, and post-release validation when needed.
- Identify quality gaps and process inefficiencies to improve reliability and test coverage.
Requirements
- 4–5 years of experience as a QA Engineer.
- Experience testing frontend Web3 applications / dApps, including wallets and smart contract integrations (user-facing blockchain experiences).
- Experience with frontend trading platforms, decentralized exchanges, financial dashboards, or other user-critical distributed applications.
- Experience with both manual testing and test automation.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and experience building/maintaining automation frameworks such as Playwright and internal tooling.
Nice to have (from the posting)
- Experience with Playwright, Pytest, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes and cloud environments.
