About the role

Role Overview

QA Engineer II on the Mobile team, focused on automation and testing mobile applications that control Hudl’s smart camera systems. You’ll act as the testing expert within a cross-functional squad to ensure quality, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

Lead and own testing efforts within your squad, ensuring products meet/exceed user expectations
Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for iOS and Android mobile apps
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, and Scrum to understand requirements and implement testing strategies
Identify, document, and track bugs/issues, providing clear, actionable feedback to developers
Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to continuously improve testing processes
Evaluate and recommend automation tools and methodologies to increase test coverage and efficiency
Maintain a customer-centric approach by prioritizing end-user experience in testing

Requirements

2+ years of software testing experience and understanding of the product lifecycle
Hands-on mobile automation testing experience for iOS and Android
Ability to design and execute automated tests to improve testing efficiency
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle shifting deadlines
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset for global collaboration
