QA Engineer II (Quality Assurance)

Role overview

Avetta is seeking a fully contributing QA Engineer II to validate functionality, integrations, and data accuracy across Avetta’s SaaS applications. The role works closely with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure features meet requirements and quality standards before release, and it supports regression and release activities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and expected system behavior
• Design, document, and execute manual test cases for:
  • Functional testing
  • Regression testing
  • Integration testing
  • Data validation
• Validate web-based SaaS features, workflows, and user experiences against specifications
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and impact assessment
• Re-test fixes and verify resolution prior to release
• Execute regression testing across assigned product areas and releases
• Validate system integrations and data flows (e.g., APIs, CRM, billing, external services)
• Participate in Agile ceremonies with testing estimates and status updates
• Maintain test documentation, test suites, and QA knowledge bases
• Suggest improvements to testing processes, coverage, and efficiency
• Support UAT/release readiness activities as needed

Requirements

• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile practices
• Ability to create clear test cases and defect reports
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Ability to manage assigned testing work independently within defined scope
• Effective communication and collaboration skills

Preferred qualifications

• Hands-on experience leveraging AI agents for test case creation, test data generation, and related QA activities
• Experience testing web or SaaS applications
• Experience with API/integration testing tools (e.g., Postman or similar)
• Basic SQL and data validation skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3 years of QA experience in SaaS or web-based environments

Work model

• Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days work from home if within commutable distance to an Avetta office
• Otherwise, may be considered on a remote basis
