About the role

QA Engineer

Bridgeway Benefit Technologies is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software products through automated and manual testing. You will work closely with engineers and cross-functional partners to embed quality throughout the SDLC and support scalable, repeatable automated testing solutions in CI/CD.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business, product, infrastructure, and technical requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify risks, and ensure acceptance criteria are testable and automatable
  • Define testing strategies aligned with DevOps and CI/CD practices
  • Determine testing scope, objectives, resources, timelines, and deliverables for automated and manual testing
  • Design, develop, and maintain reusable, maintainable automated test cases and frameworks
  • Create and manage automated test scripts and suites in Azure DevOps (ADO) (or similar platforms)
  • Execute and maintain functional, regression, performance, usability, and security testing (automated + manual)
  • Initiate and monitor automated test runs; analyze results and validate coverage for assigned scrum teams
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects; partner with developers to troubleshoot and verify fixes
  • Plan and size user stories from a testing perspective; maintain test coverage within Agile/Scrum workflows
  • Maintain detailed documentation (test plans, test cases, automation frameworks, regression results)
  • Prepare and communicate test results, regression reports, and quality metrics to stakeholders
  • Contribute to the automation roadmap by finding opportunities to increase automation coverage and efficiency
  • Recommend and implement improvements to processes, tooling, and frameworks to scale QA effectiveness
  • Stay current with QA automation, quality engineering, and secure software development best practices

Requirements

  • 4+ years professional software QA experience, including 2+ years in test automation
  • Proficiency with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., TestComplete, Playwright)
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
  • Strong testing fundamentals: automated testing strategies, quality engineering, and test design
  • Proven foundation in SQL, database concepts, APIs, web applications, and networking basics
  • Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks and reusable components
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Experience in large-scale or multi-platform environments
  • Proficiency in Agile/Scrum environments
