About the role

Role Overview

Bridgeway is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software products. You’ll collaborate with engineers and analysts to design and maintain both automated and manual testing, embedding quality throughout the SDLC and supporting CI/CD.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and understand business, product, infrastructure, and technical requirements to ensure strong test coverage.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements, assess risks, and ensure acceptance criteria are testable and automatable.
  • Define testing strategies aligned with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Plan and manage testing scope, objectives, resources, timelines, and deliverables for automated and manual testing.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reusable, maintainable automated test cases and frameworks.
  • Create and manage automated test scripts and suites in Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar platforms.
  • Execute and maintain automated and manual tests across functional, regression, performance, usability, and security.
  • Initiate and monitor automated runs, analyze outcomes, and validate coverage for assigned scrum teams.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects; collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and verify fixes.
  • Support test planning and coverage tied to user stories in Agile/Scrum workflows.
  • Maintain documentation for test plans, cases, automation frameworks, and regression results.
  • Communicate test results, regression reports, and quality metrics to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the automation roadmap by improving coverage and testing efficiency.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to QA process, tooling, and frameworks.
  • Stay current on testing/quality engineering trends and secure software development best practices.
  • Use generative AI tools (e.g., Claude and Copilot) to streamline workflows and improve delivery.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional QA experience, including 2+ years in test automation.
  • Proficiency with test automation tools/frameworks such as TestComplete and Playwright.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, automated testing strategies, quality engineering, and test design best practices.
  • Technical foundation in SQL, database concepts, APIs, web applications, and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience building/maintaining automated test frameworks and reusable test components.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with large-scale or multi-platform environments.
  • Proficiency in Agile/Scrum environments.
