About the role

Role Overview

Bright Vision Technologies is hiring a QA Engineer – Automation to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for enterprise web, API, and distributed systems. You will partner with development teams to expand test coverage and embed automation into CI/CD to enable confident, continuous delivery.

Responsibilities

Build scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium
Develop robust, maintainable automated test scripts covering critical business flows and edge cases
Implement API automation using tools/frameworks like REST Assured, Postman/Newman, or equivalents
Create and maintain regression, smoke, sanity, and functional test suites
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing with attention to compatibility and performance
Validate data integrity end-to-end using SQL queries
Collaborate with developers to improve testability and shift quality left (defect detection earlier)
Support performance testing efforts using JMeter, Gatling, or k6
Maintain test documentation, traceability, and defect tracking with disciplined QA practices
Perform root-cause analysis on production issues to drive lasting quality improvements
Ensure automation strategy aligns with DevOps and release management processes
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and quality-focused retrospectives

Requirements

6+ years experience (listed), with 4+ years QA automation experience required
Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related technical field
Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
Hands-on API automation experience
Strong understanding of testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle
Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
Solid SQL skills for data validation
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong debugging, analytical, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

Performance testing experience: JMeter, Gatling, k6
Knowledge of containerized test environments using Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack)
