Role overview

Junior Software Engineer — AI Quality & Testing

Type: Contract (10–40 hours/week, Remote)

You’ll test and improve AI-driven products by combining software engineering skills (especially TypeScript) with structured QA practices and clear issue reporting.

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate AI-driven web and mobile products, assessing performance and robustness.
• Write clear test cases and document findings so issues can be tracked and communicated effectively.
• Contribute TypeScript code to support feature development, prototypes, and quality improvements.
• Identify, reproduce, and report bugs, collaborating with product and engineering teams to resolve them.
• Analyze user feedback from social platforms to extract product insights and surface critical issues.
• Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations to support product quality goals.
• Continuously explore edge cases to find weaknesses and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Strong years of software engineering experience and strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Portfolio of self-built projects demonstrating practical development experience (mandatory).
• Ability to read, understand, and contribute to diverse codebases.
• Software engineering background via a degree or equivalent project-based experience.
• Exposure to software testing practices and strong curiosity for identifying product flaws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for documenting and reporting findings.
• Interest in AI tools/technologies, particularly video generation platforms.
