QA Engineer - AI, Automation & Intelligent Testing

Role Overview

Secure Privacy is seeking a QA Engineer (AI, Automation & Intelligent Testing) to build a world-class QA function for its Consent Management Platform and privacy governance products. The role is remote (40 hrs/week) and blends manual testing, test automation engineering, and AI-assisted quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Build end-to-end test suites for:
  • consent flows
  • DSAR workflows
  • privacy compliance scenarios
• Create API test automation for REST endpoints and third-party integrations.
• Integrate AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) into QA workflows for:
  • test generation
  • autonomous test pipelines (generate, execute, analyze)
• Embed automated tests into Azure DevOps Pipelines with fast feedback loops and quality gates.
• Perform exploratory and manual testing for new features, edge cases, and regression cycles.
• Partner with product/engineering on acceptance criteria and testability-by-design architecture.
• Ensure consent banners and plugins function correctly across browsers and hundreds of customer configurations.

Requirements

• 4+ years in QA/test automation with hands-on experience building frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
• Deep experience with Playwright (Cypress or Selenium familiarity is a plus).
• API testing expertise including REST and OAuth2/JWT; integration testing experience.
• CI/CD integration experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines (or Jenkins/similar).
• Web technology knowledge: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser developer tools.
• Strong manual/exploratory testing skills; know when automation is not sufficient.
• Interest/experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
• Comfort with non-deterministic outputs and confidence-level testing.
• Self-starter with strong ownership and collaboration skills.

Bonus / Nice to Have

• Experience testing privacy/consent management or compliance software.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy regulations.
• Experience testing WordPress, Shopify, or e-commerce plugins.
• SaaS testing experience with multi-tenant architectures.
• Visual testing tools (Applitools, Percy, Playwright visual comparisons).
• Exposure to mobile SDK languages (Kotlin, Swift, or Dart).
• Prior consultancy/agency QA across multiple clients.
