QA Engineer — AI & Automation Data Analyst

Role overview

QA Engineer focused on AI-driven and automation-first testing. This is positioned as a recent-grad role that combines manual testing with building AI-powered QA processes to reduce manual effort over time. You’ll help expand quality coverage as the company grows into iOS and new platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute manual test plans across:
  • Android app
  • Upcoming iOS app
  • Web tools
  • Backend services
• Research and evaluate AI-powered testing tools, frameworks, and approaches
• Build and maintain automated test suites to increase coverage and reduce manual testing
• Document QA processes, test cases, and quality standards
• Track, report, and triage bugs with clear reproduction steps and severity
• Report QA metrics, including:
  • test coverage
  • defect escape rate
  • automation percentage
  • time-to-release
• Participate in sprint planning, feature reviews, and release processes

Required qualifications

• Recent bachelor’s degree (graduated within the last 2 years) in CS, UI/UX, Software Engineering, or related
• Demonstrated interest in AI/ML (projects, coursework, or self-directed learning)
• Basic programming skills: Python or JavaScript (or similar)
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Self-starter comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Nice to have

• Testing frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git
• Mobile app testing experience (Android preferred)
• Prompt engineering or AI-assisted development experience
• Portfolio demonstrating creative problem-solving

Growth path (within 18–24 months)

• Product Manager (own features end-to-end)
• Project Manager (lead cross-functional initiatives)
• Senior QA / Test Automation Engineer (architect testing infrastructure, mentor others)
