QA Engineer — AI & Automation Data Analyst (remote, US)

Influence Mobile is looking for a recent college graduate to help transform QA using AI-driven QA processes. This role is not traditional QA: while you will perform manual testing for new features, the core mission is to build, implement, and continuously improve AI-powered automation to reduce manual testing over time.

You’ll join as the team expands to iOS, giving you the opportunity to build QA processes for a new platform from scratch, with ownership from day one and a growth path into product/project management or senior technical roles within 18–24 months.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute manual test plans for new features across Android, soon iOS, web tools, and backend services
• Research, evaluate, and implement AI-powered testing tools/frameworks to automate repetitive QA workflows
• Build and maintain automated test suites to improve coverage and reduce manual effort
• Develop and document QA processes, test cases, and quality standards
• Collaborate with product and engineering to identify high-risk areas and prioritize testing
• Track, report, and triage bugs with clear reproduction steps and severity assessments
• Continuously explore emerging AI tools (e.g., LLMs, visual testing AI, codegen tools) to improve QA efficiency
• Measure and report QA metrics such as test coverage, defect escape rate, automation percentage, and time-to-release
• Participate in sprint planning, feature reviews, and release processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, UI/UX, Software Engineering, or related field (graduated within last 2 years)
• Demonstrated interest in AI/ML tools (projects, coursework, or self-directed learning)
• Basic programming skills (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Self-starter who can work independently in a remote environment

Nice to have

• Experience with testing frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git
• Mobile app testing experience (Android preferred)
• Knowledge of prompt engineering or AI-assisted development tools
• Portfolio/projects showing creative problem-solving
