Role overview

QA Automation Engineer (Software Developer in Test) at CelticQA Solutions (CQA). You will help advance clients’ QA capabilities by building reusable automation assets and supporting quality practices across the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Develop reusable test automation frameworks with the engagement/QA lead
Identify high-impact areas for automation and implement automation solutions
Stay current with industry/automation trends and propose new ideas
Support planning, scope, scheduling, and implementation of test automation projects
Contribute to discussions on product requirements, architecture, and design
Execute manual test cases, provide daily test execution status to client teams
Collaborate with CQA and client teams during engagements and on daily calls
Provide daily and weekly updates on progress, accomplishments, and issues
Champion software quality using the right automation tools and processes

Requirements / Qualifications

2+ years QA experience including test automation and/or development/DevOps on multiple projects
BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Experience building test automation frameworks using TestNG, POM and/or BDD in Java, C#, or similar
Experience scripting with Ranorex, UFT, Eggplant, Tosca, TestComplete, or similar tools
Experience with source control (e.g., Git, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps)
Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, HP ALM/QC, Bugzilla)
Knowledge of manual and automated API/service-level testing (e.g., RestSharp, RestAssured)
Strong communication, presentation, writing, organization, and time management skills
Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
Detail-oriented analytical/problem-solving skills; willingness to learn and upskill

Nice to have

Knowledge of performance testing (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter, Eggplant performance)
Test lead experience
ISTQB qualification
