Role Overview

QA/Automation Engineer (Software Developer in Test)

You will support client engagements by building and maintaining test automation capabilities, executing manual and automated testing, and contributing to planning and technical discussions around product and architecture.

Responsibilities

Develop reusable test automation frameworks
Identify automation opportunities and implement automation solutions
Stay current on industry/technology changes and suggest new automation ideas and trends
Contribute to planning, scope, schedules, and implementation of test automation projects
Participate in discussions on product requirements, architecture, and design
Execute test cases manually and report test execution status daily to the client team
Collaborate with CQA and client teams during engagements
Participate in daily team calls with CQA and clients
Provide daily and weekly updates on progress, accomplishments, and issues
Champion software quality through appropriate use of test automation tools and processes

Requirements / Qualifications

2+ years QA experience, including test automation and/or development/DevOps experience across multiple projects
BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Experience building test automation frameworks using TestNG, POM and/or BDD
Proficiency with Java, C#, or similar for automation framework development
Scripting experience with automation tools such as Ranorex, UFT, Eggplant, Tosca, TestComplete (or similar)
Experience using and maintaining source control (Git, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, etc.)
Experience with test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, HP ALM/QC, Bugzilla (or similar)
Strong knowledge of manual and automated API/service-level testing (e.g., RestSharp, RestAssured)
Initiative and ability to work autonomously to meet team objectives
Strong communication, presentation, writing, organization, and time management skills

Nice to Have

Performance testing knowledge (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter, Eggplant performance)
Team lead experience
ISTQB qualification or equivalent
US citizenship
