QA Automation Engineer

Milliman (Global Corporate Services) is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to build and maintain Java-based, scalable test automation for Microsoft 365 and cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reusable test automation frameworks for web, API, and cloud-native solutions.
• Create automated test cases for Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Azure applications, including:
  • Frontend components (e.g., React, SPFx)
  • Backend components (e.g., APIs, Azure Functions, Runbooks)
• Execute automated regression, smoke, integration, and performance testing.
• Apply black box (and other) testing methods to cover positive/negative flows when automation is limited.
• Participate in design discussions and requirements reviews to provide testing input.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA), collaborate with developers and support teams, and produce RCA reports.
• Leverage AI-based tools to improve test automation and defect discovery.

Agile / DevOps

• Work in an Agile environment: sprint planning, define acceptance criteria, identify testing dependencies, and size user stories.
• Use Azure DevOps and GitHub to plan, track, and document work.
• Integrate automated tests with GitHub Actions for continuous and scheduled execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in QA and test automation for cloud-based applications (or equivalent software engineering experience with cloud technologies).
• Strong Java test automation experience and familiarity with:
  • Selenium, TestNG, WebDriverManager
  • REST Assured, Microsoft Graph, Azure Identity
  • Jackson annotations, Feign Client
  • Reporting/utility tools like Extent Reports, Apache POI, Lombok, IntelliJ, Jsoup
• Experience developing and executing automated tests for SharePoint, React applications, and Azure.
• Exposure to performance testing and security testing practices.
• Strong API validation and coding/scripting skills.
• Experience using GitHub and Azure DevOps for version control and CI/CD.
• Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills and strong communication.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AI-driven testing tools, Azure AI services, or test data generation utilities.
• Microsoft certifications related to QA / test automation.
• Experience testing AI-powered applications.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum.
