About the role

Role Overview

The QA Automation Engineer delivers quality and performance for large-scale, multi-platform software products (web, API, and mobile). You will own testing tasks end-to-end, proactively improve coverage, and collaborate with developers in a continuous integration and Agile environment.

Responsibilities

Review requirements/specifications to derive test scenarios, edge cases, and quality expectations
Build modular, reusable automation scripts and apply formal test design strategies
Implement integration automation and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
Execute end-to-end integration tests across connected systems, validating release readiness
Test and validate quality across web, iOS, and Android applications
Apply accessibility testing fundamentals for web applications and improve coverage
Debug automation failures by analyzing logs/API issues, identifying root causes, and verifying fixes
Create and maintain test artifacts: test plans, test cases, test procedures, test reports, and documentation
Participate in peer code reviews and sprint planning; collaborate across engineering teams
Estimate testing tasks and work with minimal supervision while maintaining strong team collaboration
Use AI tools daily to accelerate test case generation, script refinement, and edge-case identification—critically evaluating outputs before using them

Requirements

3+ years of QA automation engineering experience owning testing end-to-end
Strong working knowledge of Java, Python, and TypeScript and/or JavaScript
Experience writing modular/reusable automation code
Proven automation testing with Selenium and/or Playwright
Strong API testing experience with SOAP and RESTful APIs
Experience validating via SQL in support of integration test scenarios

Nice to Have

Experience with Appium
Contributions to improving accessibility testing coverage

Contract & Duration

Temporary role with expected duration of 6 months, with potential conversion to permanent based on business needs.
