Role Overview

QA Automation Engineer (Temporary, ~6 months; may convert to permanent)

You will deliver quality and performance for large-scale, multi-platform products spanning web, API, and mobile. You’ll work independently, own testing tasks end-to-end, identify coverage gaps proactively, and collaborate with Software Developers in an Agile + CI/CD environment.

What You’ll Do

Review requirements/specs to derive test scenarios, identify edge cases, and ensure quality of both products and tests
Build modular, reusable automation scripts and implement integration automation using formal test design strategies
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and validate release readiness
Execute full integration tests across connected systems on iOS, Android, and web
Apply accessibility testing fundamentals for web applications and help improve accessibility coverage
Debug automation failures by analyzing logs and API issues, identify root causes, and verify fixes
Produce and maintain QA artifacts end-to-end: test plans, test cases, test procedures, test reports; participate in peer code reviews and documentation
Collaborate across engineering teams, participate in sprint planning, estimate testing tasks, and mentor/share best practices with less experienced QA members
Use an AI-first approach daily for test case generation, script refinement, edge case identification, and automation productivity—while critically evaluating AI outputs

Requirements

3+ years experience in a QA Automation Engineer role owning testing tasks end-to-end
Strong knowledge of Java, Python, TypeScript and/or JavaScript; ability to write modular, reusable automation code
Experience creating reusable automation tests using Selenium and/or Playwright
Strong API testing experience with SOAP and RESTful APIs, including SQL validation for integration test scenarios
