QA Automation Engineer

Role overview

QA Automation Engineer to join an Agile/Scrum product development team building a large-scale customer support web application. You will combine test automation with manual and exploratory testing across web and mobile to improve quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, designers, and analysts to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Define and maintain test strategies, test cases, and test scenarios for functional and regression cycles.
• Perform manual testing (including acceptance and regression) to validate functionality and user experience.
• Develop and enhance automated test scripts/frameworks to improve automation coverage and efficiency.
• Execute API testing and integration testing for system reliability across services.
• Produce test reports, documentation, and quality metrics to support release readiness.
• Improve QA processes, tools, and best practices continuously within an Agile environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in QA automation and software testing within Agile teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and Java programming.
• Experience with API testing using SOAP UI and performance testing using JMeter.
• Solid knowledge of web and mobile UI manual testing and test design techniques.
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and experience automating API validations.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication.

Nice to have

• Experience working end-to-end with quality metrics and release readiness processes in fast-moving product teams.
