About the role

Role Overview

QA Automation Engineer for a large-scale web application used in customer support services. You’ll work with a cross-functional product team (product, engineering, analytics, design) to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of releases across web platforms.

Responsibilities

Design, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test strategies for web applications
Perform manual testing including acceptance, regression, and integration testing
Build and maintain automated test frameworks and enhance QA automation using industry-standard tools
Collaborate with teams to define requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and ensure adequate test coverage
Conduct API testing (RESTful services) and validate backend integrations (e.g., SOAP UI)
Analyze test results, identify defects, document issues in detail, and follow up with developers until resolved
Produce clear testing documentation and reports to support transparency and QA tracking

Requirements

2+ years experience in QA engineering or test automation for web or mobile environments
Strong automation skills with Selenium and Java programming
Experience with performance/load testing (JMeter) and API testing (SOAP UI)
Solid understanding of manual testing for web/mobile UI applications
Knowledge of test design techniques and test strategy creation / QA best practices
Experience with integration testing, RESTful APIs, and basic SQL for data validation
Familiarity with front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and with Jira/Confluence
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with large-scale web applications and complex integration-heavy systems (implied by role scope)
