QA Automation Engineer (SDET)

Role Overview

Impiricus is seeking an QA Automation Engineer (SDET) to design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test suites. You will own the end-to-end testing lifecycle, combining automated and manual validation to improve reliability, delivery speed, and overall product quality in the healthcare domain.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation frameworks, pipelines, and tests across:
  • Unit, API, Integration, and End-to-End (E2E) testing
• Write and execute automated and manual tests; analyze logs, metrics, and defects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Data, Scrum) to refine requirements and testing strategies
• Document frameworks, test cases, and test/reporting metrics
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous quality delivery
• Align on acceptance criteria with product and engineering teams
• Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives
• Ensure software compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA, FDA, and GDPR
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on testing progress and results

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of hands-on QA experience, with a focus on writing automation test cases (health tech preferred)
• Strong understanding of Agile and CI/CD
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript (or similar)
• Familiarity with API testing tools/frameworks
• Basic SQL for database validation/troubleshooting
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of HIPAA, FDA, and GDPR

Salary

• $110,000 - $130,000 base salary (range varies by skills/experience/location; team parity considered).
