About the role
QA Automation Engineer (Fully Remote)
Location: Fully remote (home office). Must reside in the United States (not accepting remote applicants in CA, IL, or NY).
Role Overview
You will ensure software quality by running manual and automated tests on new or modified functionality. You’ll program, analyze, and execute test plans to confirm requirements are met, guidelines are followed, quality standards are maintained, and defects are prevented.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough testing (manual and automated) to identify bugs, defects, and other issues.
- Develop and implement detailed test plans and procedures for comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify, document, and report defects; monitor resolution to ensure issues are addressed.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Provide feedback on software usability and functionality.
- Write and maintain automated tests (e.g., using Playwright or similar tools).
- Create and maintain test documentation, design specifications, and test reports.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of QA or software development experience.
- 2–5 years experience with Playwright and CodeGen/AI tooling.
- Working knowledge of Claude Code.
- Proficiency with software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with test automation frameworks/tools.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and version control systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.

Employment / Compensation
- Full-time, salaried, exempt.
- Visa sponsorship: not available.
- Compensation: $71,833 – $97,251 depending on experience.
