About the role
QA Automation Engineer (Fully Remote)
Employment: Full-time, Exempt (salaried)
Location: Must reside in the United States (remote). Not accepting remote applicants in California, Illinois, and New York.
Role Overview
You will program, analyze, and run tests on new or modified software to ensure it meets user requirements and quality standards. The role includes both manual testing and building/maintaining automated tests, along with defect detection, reporting, and test documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough testing for bugs, defects, and other issues using manual and automated methods.
- Develop and maintain test plans and procedures to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify, document, and report defects, and monitor their resolution.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and address issues.
- Provide feedback on usability and functionality.
- Write and maintain automated tests using Playwright (or other tools).
- Create and maintain test documentation, design specifications, and test reports.
Requirements
- 2–5 years in QA or software development.
- 2–5 years experience with Playwright and CodeGen/AI tooling.
- Working knowledge of testing tools/processes, including Claude Code.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and version control.
- Extraordinary attention to detail.
- Must successfully pass a background check for cybersecurity access requirements.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
Contract & Compensation
- Visa sponsorship: Not available.
- Compensation: $71,833 – $97,251 depending on years of experience.
Cybersecurity Expectations
- Review relevant cybersecurity policies/procedures.
- Maintain a cybersecure work environment.
