About the role

Role Overview

Bright Vision Technologies is hiring a QA Automation Engineer for a 100% remote (U.S.), full-time Direct W2 position. You will design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks to improve test coverage, embed automation into CI/CD, and enable confident software delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Build scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium
  • Create robust, maintainable test scripts covering critical business flows and edge cases
  • Implement API automation using REST Assured, Postman/Newman, or equivalent tools
  • Maintain regression, smoke, sanity, and functional test suites
  • Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps so tests run on every change
  • Perform cross-browser/cross-platform testing with attention to compatibility and performance
  • Validate data integrity end-to-end using SQL queries
  • Collaborate with developers to improve testability, identify defects early, and “shift quality left
  • Support performance testing initiatives using JMeter, Gatling, or k6
  • Maintain test documentation, traceability, and defect tracking
  • Conduct root-cause analysis on production issues and drive lasting quality improvements
  • Participate in Agile/Sprint planning, backlog grooming, and quality-focused retrospectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of QA automation experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
  • Hands-on experience automating REST APIs
  • Solid understanding of testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle
  • Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong SQL skills for data validation
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong debugging/problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, k6)
  • Knowledge of containerized test environments using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with cloud-based testing environments
