About the role

Role Overview

Bright Vision Technologies is hiring a QA Automation Engineer for a 100% remote (U.S.), full-time Direct W2 position. You will design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks to improve test coverage, embed automation into CI/CD, and enable confident software delivery.

Responsibilities

Build scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium
Create robust, maintainable test scripts covering critical business flows and edge cases
Implement API automation using REST Assured, Postman/Newman, or equivalent tools
Maintain regression, smoke, sanity, and functional test suites
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps so tests run on every change
Perform cross-browser/cross-platform testing with attention to compatibility and performance
Validate data integrity end-to-end using SQL queries
Collaborate with developers to improve testability, identify defects early, and “shift quality left”
Support performance testing initiatives using JMeter, Gatling, or k6
Maintain test documentation, traceability, and defect tracking
Conduct root-cause analysis on production issues and drive lasting quality improvements
Participate in Agile/Sprint planning, backlog grooming, and quality-focused retrospectives

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
4+ years of QA automation experience
Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
Hands-on experience automating REST APIs
Solid understanding of testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle
Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
Strong SQL skills for data validation
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong debugging/problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, k6)
Knowledge of containerized test environments using Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with cloud-based testing environments
