About the role

QA Automation Engineer

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks for enterprise web, API, and distributed systems. You will partner with development teams to expand test coverage, embed automation into CI/CD, and enable confident, faster software delivery.

Responsibilities

Design & develop scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing
- Use tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and/or Appium
Write maintainable automated test scripts covering critical business flows and edge cases
Build API automation using REST Assured, Postman/Newman, or equivalent frameworks
Create and maintain regression, smoke, sanity, and functional test suites
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using:
- Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing with attention to compatibility and performance
Validate end-to-end data integrity via SQL database checks
Collaborate with developers to shift quality left, improve testability, and surface defects early
Support performance testing using JMeter, Gatling, or k6
Maintain test documentation, traceability, and disciplined defect tracking

Requirements

4+ years of QA automation experience
Strong hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks
Understanding of testing strategy, including:
- Risk-based testing
- Exploratory testing
- Continuous testing in Agile environments
Experience with automated testing across web and APIs

Nice-to-haves

Experience with distributed systems and/or mobile testing
Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter/Gatling/k6)
Experience validating systems end-to-end with SQL

Type: Full-time, direct W2 employment (no C2C/1099/third-party)
Engagement: In-house SOW engagement; long-term/multi-year
Remote: 100% remote in the Continental United States
Salary range: $100,000–$150,000 (annual)
Sponsorship: No new H1B sponsorship; H1B transfers welcomed
Assessment: Mandatory technical coding assessment
