QA Automation Engineer

Bright Vision Technologies is hiring a QA Automation Engineer for a 100% remote (Continental United States) full-time, direct W2 in-house SOW engagement.

Role overview

You will design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for enterprise web, API, and distributed systems, partnering with development teams to expand test coverage and improve software quality through continuous automation in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

Build scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium
Create maintainable automated test scripts covering critical business flows, edge cases, and regression needs
Implement API test automation using REST Assured, Postman/Newman, or equivalent frameworks
Maintain test suites including regression, smoke, sanity, and functional tests
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
Perform cross-browser and cross-platform validation with focus on compatibility and performance
Validate data integrity using SQL and end-to-end checks
Collaborate with developers to improve testability (“shift left”), identify defects early, and increase confidence in releases
Support performance testing using JMeter, Gatling, or k6
Keep detailed test documentation, traceability, and defect tracking

Requirements

4+ years of experience in QA automation
Strong hands-on experience designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks
Practical knowledge of testing strategy (including risk-based testing, exploratory testing, and continuous testing)
Willingness to work directly as a full-time W2 employee (no C2C/1099/third-party)
Technical coding assessment is mandatory

Nice-to-haves / additional signals

Experience with distributed systems and enterprise web/API testing
Experience embedding tests reliably across multiple CI/CD platforms

Logistics

Location: 100% remote, Continental United States
Sponsorship: No new H1B sponsorship; H1B transfers welcomed
Salary range: $100k–$150k per year (base, plus benefits)
