About the role

Role Overview

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for web, API, and distributed systems. You will partner with development teams to expand test coverage, embed automation into CI/CD, and help accelerate confident software delivery in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

Build scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing using modern tools.
Write robust, maintainable automated test scripts covering critical business flows and edge cases.
Implement API automation with tools such as REST Assured, Postman/Newman, or equivalents.
Create and maintain regression, smoke, sanity, and functional test suites.
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) so tests run reliably on each change.
Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing with focus on compatibility and performance.
Validate data integrity end-to-end using SQL/database checks.
Collaborate with developers to improve testability and shift quality left (identify defects early).
Support performance testing initiatives (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, k6).
Maintain detailed test documentation, traceability, and defect tracking.

Requirements

4+ years of experience as a hands-on QA Automation Engineer.
Strong experience with automated testing strategy and continuous/Agile testing practices.
Experience building automation for web/API/distributed systems.
Willingness to work as a direct full-time W2 employee (no C2C/1099/third-party).
Technical coding assessment is mandatory.
100% remote work for candidates in the Continental United States.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with risk-based testing, exploratory testing, and continuous testing.
Experience with test coverage expansion and disciplined engineering practices.
