QA Automation Engineer

Bright Vision Technologies is hiring a QA Automation Engineer for a 100% remote, full-time W2 (in-house SOW engagement for Bright Vision Technologies; no third-party/client vendor).

Role Overview

Design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks for enterprise web, API, and distributed systems. Partner with development teams to expand test coverage, embed automation in CI/CD, and accelerate confident software delivery in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

Build scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium
Develop maintainable automated test scripts covering critical business flows and edge cases
Implement API automation using REST Assured, Postman/Newman, or equivalent frameworks
Create and maintain regression, smoke, sanity, and functional test suites
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) so tests run reliably on every change
Perform cross-browser/cross-platform testing with attention to compatibility and performance
Validate data integrity end-to-end using SQL database queries
Collaborate with developers to improve testability and shift quality left (identify defects early)
Support performance testing initiatives using JMeter, Gatling, or k6
Maintain test documentation, traceability, and defect tracking records

Requirements

4+ years experience as a QA Automation Engineer
Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks and test strategy concepts such as:
- Risk-based testing
- Exploratory testing
- Continuous testing in Agile environments
Ability to pass a mandatory technical coding assessment

Nice-to-haves

Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, k6)
Experience validating data integrity with SQL

Contract / Work Arrangement

In-house, long-term, multi-year engagement aligned to Bright Vision’s SOW delivery roadmap
No third-party (C2C/1099) arrangements; direct W2 employment only
